Single-serve machines are great for those who consume only coffee in their home or prefer pour-over. They can brew one cup at a go and take up less counter space.

The Bruvi is one of the best multi-functional single-serve machine we've found. It utilizes B-Pods which are greener than traditional K-Cups. It features a touch-screen control panel that offers intuitive settings for brewing, as well as specialty drinks and espresso.

Keurig K-Select

The Keurig K-Select is a simple single-serve coffee machine. It can brew Keurig K-Cups or your own ground coffee in the cup that you can reuse. It also comes with hot water buttons for instant ramen, tea and much more. It's a great option for those who want a machine that is simple and doesn't need many bells and whistles. It does have some issues, however. In our tests it took longer to heat up and make a cup of espresso than other machines. Furthermore, the Keurig's needles for brewing are prone to becoming blocked and could leave a trace of coffee in your cup. It is important to unplug the machine prior to trying to clean them. Paper clips are typically the best choice.

The K-Select requires 60 seconds to brew a cup of Keurig K-Cup Coffee. The brew temperature is around 192 degrees Fahrenheit. This is slightly below the National Coffee Association recommended brew temperatures, but it's still too hot for us. The K-Select also tends to scorch the coffee it makes, especially when brewing a strong cup.

This Keurig model has 52-ounces of water storage capacity which allows you to make five cups of brew before it needs to be filled. It's the least expensive Keurig that we have tested. It's perfect for those who are new to Keurigs, or wants an easy and reliable single-serve coffee maker. It doesn't include any features that can be programmed, however it does include a light that will indicate when the tank is empty and should the machine require an unscaler.

The K-Select is available in a variety of colors including matte black and a special trend color that will be offered at some retailers. It's also made of fingerprint-resistant materials for easy cleaning. The K-Select looks similar to the slightly more expensive K-Classic but is smaller, has a larger reservoir of water and stronger brew.

Keurig single-serve coffee makers are great for homes, offices and travel trailers. It's also a great choice for rental properties or Airbnbs, as they're easy for guests to use and can help you save time in the morning. It's a great choice for waiting areas, like in car dealerships, hospitals, or even at the hospital.

Breville Precision Brewer

The Breville Precision Brewer is a premium drip coffee maker that can do so much more than conventional coffee makers. It can brew coffee in accordance with the exact specifications of the Specialty Coffee Association's Golden Cup standards. It comes with a variety of brewing presets and a customizable brew-mode.

The Precision Brewer is easy-to-use and navigate with its large touchscreen and a variety of knobs and buttons. It also has informative guides that guide both novices and experts into special brewing. It takes about 8 minutes to make the coffee in accordance with Golden Cup standards set by the SCA. The machine's water temperature remains between 194 and 204 degrees Fahrenheit, ensuring that your coffee will remain hot.

The Precision Brewer can brew up to a full carafe in just one session. This is possible due to the strong pump and thermo-coil system that heats water quickly without sacrificing quality. The pre-programmed options include gold, fast and strong. They're basing them on the SCA's ideal coffee-to water ratio, the size distribution of grind and particle and water hardness.

Other settings you can alter include the bloom time, brew temperature, and flow rate. You can choose a pour-over setting, but the machine assumes that you will use a pour-over drip cone from a third-party vendor, such as Melitta Wave or Hario.

The coffee Travel-Friendly Coffee: Portable Maker Reusable Filter Cup comes with an insulated thermal or glass carafe, which is easy to fill. It also includes the filter basket, which has an adapter for cone-shaped paper filters, as well as a permanent filter. The adapter is easily removed so that you can use flat-bottomed filters instead.

Bruvi promises to bring a new level of consistency in brewing to the pod-based world. Their patented auto-optimized brewing system examines each pod and adjusts multiple variables to ensure that the brewed coffee tastes exactly as it was designed by the roaster. Additionally, Bruvi only partners with roasters that produce their coffee ethically and sustainably and they use premium coffee for their B-Pods.

When you put a B-Pod in the Bruvi, it's ready take just a few minutes (though cold brew will take closer to five minutes). The Bruvi will sound an alarm when the brew has finished. It will also notify you via your phone if it is connected to WiFi and the app.

You'll also be able to manage your Bruvi through the app, which will remotely turn on and off the machine and monitor the amount of water used pods, the number of pods used, and brew times. It can be programmed to automatically make drinks at specific times or when the mug is empty. It can even create multiple drinks at the same time. One downside is that the Bruvi does not include a steamer, which means it won't be able make specialty drinks like cappuccinos or lattes.

Instant Solo

A single-serve coffee maker is the ideal option for a coffee drinker who wants to quickly brew an iced cup of coffee or tea. The best models can deliver a good-tasting cup in less than two minutes, making them perfect for busy mornings. They're also user-friendly and feature an intuitive interface. We also tested the Instant's capacity to send status updates through a series of beeps. The trills and tones that indicated the brewing process were easy to identify, but the tones that indicated low levels of water or cleaning were more difficult to discern. If you have trouble with your Instant Solo, start by making sure it's connected into a functional outlet.
